This Refund and Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) explains how you may cancel your subscription to StockScanners' Services, when you may be entitled to a refund, and how certain mandatory consumer rights may apply depending on your place of residence. This Policy forms an integral part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use.
1. Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal
Our Services are offered on a subscription basis, including monthly or annual plans, as further described in our Terms of Use. Unless you cancel in accordance with this Policy, your Subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period, and you will be charged the applicable fee for the next term.
Before you complete your purchase, we will clearly disclose the price, billing interval, trial terms (if any), and renewal terms. By purchasing a Subscription, you authorize us and/or our payment processor to charge your payment method at each renewal date unless and until you cancel.
Additional details regarding billing, payment methods, and our Payment Provider arrangements are set out in our Terms of Use.
2. How to Cancel
You may cancel your Subscription at any time, using a method at least as simple as the method you used to subscribe, by:
- logging into your Account settings and following the cancellation steps;
- contacting us at [email protected]; or
- using any other cancellation method we make available.
If your Subscription was purchased through a third-party platform, or external Payment Provider, cancellation may also be subject to that party's applicable procedures.
Unless a refund applies under Section 3 or is otherwise required by applicable law, cancellation takes effect at the end of your then-current paid billing period, and you retain access until then. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel your Subscription.
3. Refunds
If you are a consumer purchasing our Services for personal use, you may request a refund within 14 days from the date of purchase, for any reason.
If applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction grants longer, broader, or otherwise more favorable rights, those mandatory rights will apply instead.
If your purchase was made for business use, different rules may apply to the extent permitted by applicable law and the applicable commercial terms.
4. Refund Request Process
To request a refund, please contact us at [email protected]. If your purchase was processed through a third-party platform, or external payment provider, you may also be required to submit your refund request through that provider's designated process.
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify the purchase, confirm eligibility, prevent fraud, and process the refund.
5. Effect of Refund Request or Refund
If you request a refund you must stop using the Services for which the refund is sought, to the extent required by applicable terms, platform rules, or applicable law.
If a refund is granted, we may suspend, terminate, or disable access to the relevant Services, features, or associated entitlements.
6. Free Trials and Introductory Offers
If you sign up for a free trial or introductory offer that converts into a paid Subscription, we will disclose before enrolment the length of the trial, the amount to be charged after conversion, and when the charge will occur.
You may cancel during the trial period before conversion at no charge. If the trial converts into a paid purchase, your refund rights after conversion will be determined under this Policy and applicable law.
7. Billing Errors and Unauthorized Charges
If you believe you were charged in error, in the wrong amount, or without authorization, contact us promptly at [email protected]. If we determine that a billing error occurred, we will correct it and issue any refund required by applicable law or appropriate under the circumstances.
8. Service Issues and Mandatory Consumer Remedies
If the Services are defective, materially not as described, unavailable in a manner that gives rise to mandatory consumer remedies, or otherwise fail to comply with applicable consumer law, you may be entitled to remedies such as restoration of service, repair, reperformance, price reduction, refund, or termination, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law, we will provide it within the legally required time.
9. Termination by Us
If we terminate your paid Subscription without cause before the end of a prepaid billing period, we will provide a pro rata refund for the unused portion unless applicable law or our Terms of Use permit termination without refund, including in cases of fraud, abuse, illegal activity, payment reversal, or material breach.
10. Disputes and Chargebacks
If a refund request, dispute, or chargeback is submitted through a payment provider, card network, app store, or similar intermediary, we may review and respond to it in accordance with this Policy, that intermediary's applicable rules and procedures, and applicable law.
We may suspend or restrict access to the relevant paid Services while a dispute is under review and, where permitted by applicable law, disable continued access if a refund is issued or a chargeback is upheld.
11. Effect of Cancellation or Termination
Unless a refund is granted under this Policy or required by applicable law:
- your access continues until the end of your current paid billing period;
- access to paid features then ends; and
- we may delete or disable access to your data in accordance with our Terms of Use, retention practices, and applicable law.
You are responsible for exporting any data you wish to retain before the effective end of your Subscription.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified as required by applicable law, and the updated version will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date.
13. Contact Us
If you have questions about cancellations, refunds, or billing, please contact us at: [email protected].
14. Important Consumer Notice
This Policy supplements, and does not limit, any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law. Where local law grants rights more favorable than this Policy, those rights apply.
